I came to Kristin a couple months ago because I was having a lot of knee pain. From the very first visit, I could tell she was extremely knowledgeable and patient-friendly! She asked questions and had me do various movement tests and then she did some hands-on work. I really felt like she was concerned with treating the whole person, and I left her office feeling significantly better and armed with a very manageable list of exercises to do. Since then, I've been back a few more times and she's altered the exercises as I've gotten stronger. Now, I feel like my old self and am back to running again! Thanks, Kristin! Christa C. Feb 2015
In the summer of 2009, I suffered a very complex and life-altering injury. When I was finally able to start physical therapy, I began a search to find a PT who could help me. After months of searching, meeting with many PT’s and seeing my hope for improvement slipping away, I was fortunate to be referred to Kristin Thomas, DPT. By the end of my first session with Kristin I knew I had found the right person to assist me on my path to recovery. Whereas other PT’s were baffled by my complex conditions and unsure of how to help, Kristin’s unique combination of orthopedic and manual physical therapy enabled me to regain strength, flexibility and range of motion. Most importantly Kristin’s treatments reduced my chronic pain significantly and as a result gave me something I thought was gone forever – hope. As an added bonus, Kristin was also able to help me with several musculoskeletal injuries I had sustained from years of playing competitive sports. For anyone in need of an incredibly talented, compassionate and highly qualified physical therapist, I give Kristin Thomas my highest recommendation. Maureen Riopelle Feb 2015
Kristin Thomas, PT, DPT, FDN is passionate about getting you back to living life! Being very active herself, she understands the frustration that comes from being sidelined from doing the things you love. She stays active by running and exercising, but also by taking care of her 4 young children.
She graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Ohio University in 2005 and received her Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Science from The Ohio State University in 2002. She has taken advanced courses in pelvic floor therapy, myofascial release, dry needle therapy, muscle energy techniques, gait mechanics, Pilates, acupressure and healing touch, along with many more.
Kristen Schulte, PT, DPT, FDN understands how it feels to have injury hold you back from the activities you love. A former track and cross country athlete at Xavier University, Kristen sustained a low back injury that was projected to end her running career. While pursuing her doctorate, Kristen initiated opportunities to learn holistic healthcare in addition to traditional physical therapy. She has received advanced training in spinal evaluation and osteopathic treatment of the spine and pelvis. Kristen has also presented research on the effects of food-related inflammation on musculoskeletal health, integrating mindfulness practice into physical healing, and incorporating wellness initiatives into the workplace for relief of back and neck pain.
