About Us

Our Company

At Core Wellness and Physical Therapy, serving residents of the Greater Cincinnati area, we love to help people get back to living life on their terms.

That means living without painkillers, without compromised movements, and without fear of embarrassing incontinence issues or pelvic floor problems.

We know how easy it is to just pop a painkiller or adjust an ice pack when back pain, neck pain or knee pain staggers you in your path. We see people clench their teeth and try to keep going. We know the often frustrating hope of just wanting pain to go away on its own.

We also know that magic doesn’t always work as a road to wellness, and that more often than not, you need the help of professional health providers to get you out of your cycle of pain. We also know that left untreated, instead of getting better, many painful injuries and conditions just get worse or turn into something else, oftentimes even more unpleasant.

We know that by the time you reach our door you may have endured weeks, months or even years of not living the life that you want. There’s only so far medication and hot baths can take you before you realize you need help. We are there at whatever stage of the process you know you’ve had enough.

Why not come sooner rather than later? We know you can’t afford to be out of work or unable to care for your children. So why not let us address your pain now and get back to really living?

Kristin Thomas

Kristin Thomas,
PT, DPT, FDN

Clinic owner Kristin Thomas, a doctor of physical therapy, is here to help you if you are searching for the means to live an active and full life.

In the way that fate can change all our lives, hers was altered one day while working as a lifeguard. A mother and child came to the pool and requested special help. The child had cerebral palsy, which caused her muscles to be fairly uncoordinated.

Kristin immediately stepped forward and offered to help. As she worked with the child and saw improvements, she became fascinated by the links between movement and wellness.

The child’s mother over time told Kristin how amazed she was at how well she worked with her daughter and helped her. One day she told Kristin she would be a natural at physical therapy.

Up to that point, Kristin’s studies had been interesting to her, but not all-inspiring. Things changed through the experience with the child and her mother and by 2002, Kristin had a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from The Ohio State University.

By 2005, she had a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Ohio University. In the years that followed, the self-confessed continual learner took advanced courses in pelvic floor therapy, myofascial release, dry needle therapy, muscle energy techniques, gait mechanics, Pilates, acupressure and healing touch, along with many more.

An active mother of four young children today, she is passionate that people should be able to move to the best of their ability as they go through life. A runner herself, she understands that frustration is high when you are sidelined from doing what you love.

Her clients love her friendly attitude and persistence in finding the cause of their pain. You can read some of their testimonials in the Patient Information section of the website.
