Mama Therapy

At Core Wellness and Physical Therapy, we take care of Mamas! Being a mom in all of its stages is tough on the body, both emotionally and physically.  We will get you back to your active lifestyle!!

Preconception

Due to various internal and environmental stressors, your body can become blocked both facially and energetically.  This can negatively impact the necessary components of fertility.  By using a combination of myofascial release, craniosacral release, muscle energy techniques, acupressure and healing touch, your body can become free of physical or energetic congestion, thereby allowing the body to be more apt for enhanced fertility. 

I went to Kristin to see if I could get my body back in check. After gall bladder surgery, I felt off and my husband and I were also trying to conceive but having difficulty.  Kristin was so personable yet very professional.  She evaluated me and then worked with me in a variety of ways:  myofascial release, acupressure, and healing touch.  After only a couple of sessions, my body feels better....AND we're expecting! Postpartum

In today's society, there is more pressure than ever to get back to your normal routine and weight as soon as possible after having a baby.  Your body goes through an enormous change during and after pregnancy, and, without proper care, can lead to chronic pain. This, coupled with lack of proper strength to do things such as lift the car seat, carry your baby and return to lifestyle demands, can lead to a life-long, unnecessary pain.  Many times, if the issue is dealt with proactively or as soon as possible after the issues begins, success is promising.  Ailments include such things as pelvic instability, low back pain, diastasis recti,  bladder leakages, and core weakness. These are common and not necessary issues! Core Wellness and Physical Therapy can use a combination of myofascial release, dry needle therapy, muscle energy techniques, targeted exercises, and energy work to get you back to your life and enjoying your new bundle of joy.


Pregnancy

Let's face it, pregnancy is very tough on a woman's body. The body changes remarkably during this time and this often leads to pain. By utilizing hands on techniques such myofascial release, muscle energy techniques, craniosacral releases, acupressure and targeted exercises, therapy can help alleviate things such as low back pain, neck pain, sciatica, arm pain/radiculopathy and upper back pain.  Core Wellness and Physical Therapy can help with the various aliments and give you invaluable tips to help you get through this challenging, yet wonderful time.
